Introduction

We are delighted to announce a request for chapter proposals for a forthcoming book entitled Implementing AI Tools for Language Teaching and Learning. Associate Professor Dr. Vu Phi Ho Pham from Van Lang University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Professor Dr. Andrew Lian from Suranaree University of Technology in Thailand, Dr. Ania Lian from Charles Darwin University in Australia, and Associate Professor Dr. Sandro Barros from Michigan University in the USA will edit this volume. The field of language teaching is undergoing a substantial transformation due to the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, which provide inventive resolutions to enduring difficulties. This book seeks to examine the capacity of artificial intelligence (AI) to transform language instruction by offering personalized, flexible, and exceptionally efficient learning opportunities. The book primarily focuses on the use of AI Tools in teaching languages. Moreover, the book will explore the ethical ramifications of using artificial intelligence in the field of education. We welcome chapter proposals that explore many facets of artificial intelligence techniques in the field of language instruction. Proposals have the opportunity to investigate several subjects, which include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Investigation of teachers' and students' perceptions and viewpoints on using artificial intelligence tools for language teaching and learning. 2. The advantages and challenges of using AI tools in language education. 3. Implementing AI Tools in the Classrooms. 4. Research conducted on the use of artificial intelligence tools in the area of language instruction and acquisition. You are required to submit your abstract for this proposal first. Your abstract should be 150-250 words describing the purpose of your chapter and methods. Expected outcomes are also mentioned but optional. Abstract Submission Deadline is on June 30, 2024. Full Chapters Due is on September 22, 2024, and Submission Date: September 22, 2024. Full articles should be 5000 to 7000 words long and include a detailed description of the chapter's aims, methods, and contribution to the area. Objective

This book seeks to provide a thorough examination of the incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques in the field of language teaching and learning. The objective is to get a deeper understanding of the perspectives and experiences of educators and learners about AI technologies. This includes identifying any obstacles that may hinder the adoption of these tools and providing valuable information for implementing them effectively. Furthermore, the book thoroughly analyzes the benefits and challenges of AI technologies in language teaching, providing a detailed comprehension of the possibilities and difficulties linked to their incorporation. In addition, the book aims to offer educators practical advice and case studies to effectively incorporate AI technology into their teaching methods, providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills for successful implementation. Finally, the book examines empirical research studies that explore the effectiveness and influence of AI Tools on language teaching and learning. This contributes to the existing body of evidence and provides insights for future research and educational approaches.

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before June 30, 2024, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by July 14, 2024 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by September 22, 2024, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-anonymized review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Implementing AI Tools for Language Teaching and Learning. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-anonymized peer review editorial process.
